Finding the best position for the base unit
To use your handset and base unit together, you must be able to establish a radio link between them. Be aware that:
Fit the belt clip onto the handset (this step is optional)
Click the belt clip into position, making sure it is securely fitted
The base unit must never be installed near a bath or shower, or anywhere else where it might get wet.
Siting the base unit as high as possible will give better results. In a two-storey house, the best position for your base unit may be on the first-floor landing. Any large metal object (e.g. a refrigerator, mirror or filing
Align the ridge on the inside of the belt clip with the groove on the side of the handset, and fit the belt clip to one side of the handset
cabinet) may block the radio signal.
Other solid structures, like walls, may reduce the signal strength.
Insert the telephone line plug into the socket The CHARGE light comes on. When the handsets batteries are fully charged (after about 7 hours), the light flashes.
240 V AC, 50 Hz
Plug in the mains adapter, with the switch on the mains socket set to OFF Then switch on mains power at the socket
Make sure mains power is switched on if you want to use the phone it will not work without it
