E M P T Y I N G T H E D U S T C O M PA RT M E N T / CLEANING THE HOSE AND NOZZLE
Empty the dust compartment after each vacuuming or as necessary. For best results it is recommended that the dust compartment is emptied regularly.
1 2 3 1 Press the locking catch and remove the dust compartment. 2 Remove the filter holder from the dust compartment by pressing the catch with your thumb. 3 Empty the dust compartment. A useful tip: to prevent dust from escaping, hold a plastic bag securely around the dust compartment and empty the contents into the plastic bag. Wait 30 seconds for the dust to settle before removing and sealing the plastic bag. Clean and dry the dust compartment if necessary. Remove any particles from the Cyclone cone. 4 Replace the filter holder and ensure that it sits properly. 5 Insert the dust compartment front side first, as shown in the picture, until the catch clicks to engage. Do not try to close with force.

The vacuum cleaner stops automatically if a blockage occurs in the nozzle, tube, hose or the filters or Cyclone cone become blocked with dirt. In such cases, disconnect from the mains and allow the cleaner to cool for 30 minutes. Remove the blockage and/or clean the filters, and then restart the vacuum cleaner.
6 Use a cleaning strip or similar to clear the tubes and hose. 7 It may also be possible to remove the obstruction in the hose by squeezing the hose. Be careful however in case the obstruction is caused by glass or needles caught inside the hose.
Note.The warranty does not cover any damage to hose caused by cleaning it.
8 To avoid deterioration of the carpet/hard floor nozzle clean it as often as possible. The easiest way to clean it is by using the hose handle. Cleaning the turbo nozzle 9 Disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the mains, and remove entangled threads etc. by snipping them away with scissors. Use the hose handle to clean the nozzle.
