What can be done if the PINnumber has been forgotten?
Use the M aster PIN code of 1276, then change to a number of your choice. Ensure that no-one else can use the M aster PIN by removing the Owner's M anual.

Why are there problems with analogue text?
Good performance of text depends on a good strong broadcast signal. This normally requires a roof or loft aerial. If the text is unreadable or garbled, check the aerial. Go to the main index page of the text service and look for the User Guide. This will explain the basic operation of text in some detail. If further information is needed on how to use text see the text section.
Why is there no digital text service?
The digital programme being viewed is not broadcasting digital text. Try another digital programme.
Why do I have black and grey bars in a 4:3 picture?

Why does the Green Active stand by LED sometimes take longer to go out?
This is normal operation. The grey bars on the left and right of the picture are generated by the TV set. The black bars on the top and bottom of the screen occur during a 16:9 broadcast.
When put into stand by the televisions active standby will automatically search all available channels for downloads , provided Automatic Download is enabled . The time it takes to do this may vary.
Why can only certain digital channels be viewed?
Favorurite Mode has been set to On. See page 25.
Cleaning the screen and cabinet...
Turn off the power, clean the screen and cabinet with a soft, dry cloth. W e recommend that you do not use any proprietary polishes or solvents on the screen or cabinet as this may cause damage.
