7. Slide the carriage to the left. 8. Remove the screw, and remove the main chassis unit.

9. Push the belt lever (2) to the left, and remove the belt. 10. Remove the belt lever.

� Apply grease to the GRE section. 11. Remove the slide shaft from the right side, and remove the carriage unit together with the slide shaft. (Be careful that pawl B is engaged on the chassis.)

<2> Carriage unit
1. Remove the cabinet. 2. Remove the shield box-R. 3. Remove the flat cable. 4. Remove the FFC holder.

[Note for assembly] � Do not use alcohol to clean the slide shaft. � Apply oil (TERAS-32 oil) to the oil section.

[Note for assembly] � Apply grease (G-741) to the GRE section. 5. Remove the adjust lever (A), and remove the adjust lever spring (B). 6. Remove the adjust spring (C). 7. Loosen the adjust cam fixing screw (C), and rotate the adjust cam (E) to the right and lower the slide shaft bearing. 8. Fit the slide shift bearing (F) with the main chassis cutout, and remove it.

<3> Ink cartridge
1. Open the front cover. 2. Shift the carriage. 3. Press lever 1 and remove the black ink cartridge (A). 4. Press lever 2 and remove the magenta ink cartridge (B). 5. Press lever 2 and remove the yellow ink cartridge (C) 6. Press lever 3 and remove the cyan ink cartridge (D).
