ZOOM] is set to [ON], [ ] is displayed on the screen if you set a picture size that activates the extended optical zoom. � If you set [QUALITY] to [RAW_FINE], [RAW_STANDARD] or [RAW], the extended optical zoom is not activated. � The picture may stop moving for a moment before being brought into focus when you press the shutter button halfway. menu and select the item to set. (P26) You can further enhance the zoom magnification that you had when using the optical zoom (this includes when using the extended optical zoom), by 2a or 4a with the digital zoom. You can take pictures with a maximum focal length of 200 mm (35 mm film camera equivalent: 400 mm) with the supplied lens. Also, if you set a picture size that activates the extended optical zoom, you can take pictures with a maximum focal length of 356 mm (35 mm film camera equivalent: 712 mm). � Press [LIVE VIEW] to switch the camera beforehand to taking pictures with Live View.
