PAL I/BG
The appropriate standard for equipment used in Italy is PAL BG. If, however, you use the IRD with PAL I equipment, do the following: 4 Select and edit any or all of the following: 1 Frequency; 2 Symbol Rate; 3 Polarisation; 4 FEC (Forward Error Correction). Press q to edit the settings. Type the required value. can be used to delete numbers. Press q when the settings are correct. Once you have completed the settings, press 5 to retune with the new settings. A rotating segment on the IRD front panel indicates that the IRD is searching for default frequency. The IRD reverts to the standby mode. Press return to normal mode. to

Press 6 Installation. Type the installation PIN and press q. The Installation Menu is displayed. Press 3 UHF Tuning. The UHF Tuning screen is displayed.

8 4 5 Press . Check that the appropriate PAL standard is now indicated on the UHF tuning menu. 9 Press q to save the change. A message »Changes saved« is displayed. Press MENU to exit from the menu.
Manual Channel Tuning
The IRD uses the values shown in this menu to identify which signal to search for "home in on". The factory preset values identify the Eutelsat signal. These values will, normally, not need to be changed. If, however, it is necessary to change the values, do the following: 1 Press MENU on the RCU. The Main Menu is displayed. Press 6 Installation. Type the installation PIN and press q. The Installation Menu is displayed. Press 4 Manual Channel Tuning. The Man Channel Tuning screen is displayed. The factory preset values for the Eutelsat signal are shown in the following menu.
