Changing initial setup [1 Disc Languages] 1 Perform steps 1 to 3 of the procedure in �Basic operation for changing the initial

2 Select the item to be set.
RC 1 Select an item with the joystick (%, �). 2 Press the ENTER key.

Each press of the joystick (%, �) switches the items as follows.
1 1 AUDIO : Sets the voice language output from the speakers. 2 2 Subtitle : Sets the subtitle language displayed on the TV screen. 3 3 Menus : Sets the language used in on-screen messages including title menus (menus recorded in each disc). 4 0 Exit : Exits the current screen.

3 Select the desired option.
RC 1 Select an item with the joystick (%, �). 2 Press the ENTER key.

Setting options
When [1 AUDIO] is selected
1~5 English/French/German/Italian/Spanish Select the desired voice language. 6 Original (Factory setup) Select this option when you want to play discs in their priority languages. 7 Other Select this option when you want other language than the above. ÷ Enter the 4-digit language code with numeric keys. See �DVD menu language code list�. E

When [2 Subtitle] is selected The setup completes and the initial setup screen appears again.
1 Automatic (Factory setup) The subtitle language is set automatically according to the voice language. ÷ No subtitle is displayed if the voice is played in the language set with �1 AUDIO�. ÷ If the voice is not played in the language set with �1 AUDIO�, the subtitle is displayed in that language. 2~6 English/French/German/Italian/Spanish Select the desired subtitle language. 7 Other Select this option when you want other language than the above. ÷ Enter the 4-digit language code with numeric keys. See �DVD menu language code list�. E

If you commit a mistake in the language number input
Each press of the C key clears the currently last digit. Be sure to input the correct digit(s) after clearing.

To return to the previous menu screen
Press the RETURN key.

When [3 Menus] is selected

1~5 English/French/German/Italian/Spanish Select the desired menu language. 6 Other Select this option when you want other language than the above. ÷ Enter the 4-digit language code with numeric keys. See �DVD menu language code list�. E

To exit initial setup
Select �0 Exit� in the initial setup screen.
