Pages 29 to 34 of this User Guide are headed ADVANCED FEATURES. They describe some features for users who want to do more than simply make and answer calls on the Eurotel 2000. If you have only one handset and base unit, and if you do not need to prevent unauthorised use of your phone, you probably wont need the advanced features.

The security PIN
Each Eurotel 2000 base unit has its own personal identity number (PIN). The system is supplied with the base units PIN set to to 0000, and you can leave it at this default setting if you wish. You may need the PIN if you will be using the features described on pages 31 to 34, to prevent people from making unauthorised calls on your phone. If so, you may wish to change your PIN for extra security.

IMPORTANT do not forget your PIN
If you change your PIN, make sure the new one is a number youll be able to remember, and make a note of it. If you forget your PIN, you will need to contact the Binatone Help Line on 0181 344 8870, for advice on how to reset your base unit and handset(s). If you have to do a reset, you will lose any numbers you have stored in memory.
