Using the Self-timer Your digital camera comes with a built-in self timer. Note: It is recommended that you use a tripod with the self-timer. There is a tripod mount on the bottom of your digital camera (c). 1. Look through the viewfinder or turn on the LCD to compose your photo. a 2. Press the self-timer button (a). The self- d timer icon appears on the LCD menu (d). 3. Set the camera into c position to take a photo. When you are ready, press the shutter button (b) to activate the self-timer countdown. A red light on the front of the camera (below the lens) blinks for ten seconds. 4. After ten seconds, the digital camera takes the photo. To turn off the self-timer while the red light is blinking, press the self-timer button.
