Press M or m repeatedly to select �LEVEL�, �BALANCE� or �LFE�, then press ENTER. Press M or m repeatedly to adjust the level or balance or select a setting, then press ENTER.
x BALANCE
You can vary the balance of the left and right speakers as follows. For JAX-D55, be sure to set �TEST TONE� to �ON� for easy adjustment. The default setting is underlined.
FRONT � � � (CENTER) Adjust the balance between the front left and right speakers (6 steps left or right). The center position is shown as �� � ��.
To return to the default settings
Select the item to be returned to the default setting and press CLEAR.
To change the volume of all speakers at one time
Adjust using VOL + or � (or VOLUME control on the unit).

x TEST TONE (JAX-D55 only)
The speakers will emit a test tone to adjust �BALANCE� and �LEVEL�. The default setting is underlined.
OFF The test tone is not emitted from the speakers. The test tone is emitted from each speaker in sequence while adjusting balance or level. When you select one of the �SPEAKER SETUP (LEVEL or BALANCE)� items, the test tone is emitted from the selected speaker.
You can vary the level of each speaker as follows. For JAX-D55, be sure to set �TEST TONE� to �ON� for easy adjustment. Any items that are set to �NONE� in the �SIZE� setting cannot be selected. The default settings are underlined.
CENTER* 0 dB SURROUND LEFT* 0 dB SURROUND RIGHT* 0 dB SUBWOOFER 0 dB (for JAX-D55) LEVEL 3 (for JAXD33) * JAX-D55 only Adjust the level of the center speaker (�6 dB to +6 dB, 1 dB increments). Adjust the level of the surround speaker (�6 dB to +6 dB, 1 dB increments).
ON
x LFE (JAX-D33 only)
You can enjoy low frequency effect with LFE channel recorded on discs. The default setting is underlined.
ON OFF The LFE channel is output. The LFE channel is not output.
Adjust the level of the sub woofer (�10 dB to +10 dB for JAX-D55, LEVEL 3 � 1 for JAX-D33).
Note
If there is excessive wow or flutter when recording audio from a DVD, set �LFE� to �OFF�.
