Lift the edge of the battery first, then lift the battery from the phone. See Figure 2.

Figure 2. Removing the battery There is a danger of explosion if the Lithium Ion battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same type of battery or equivalent as recommended by the battery manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries according to the manufacturer�s instructions. 5. 6. 7. To replace, align the battery with the battery compartment so the contacts on the battery match the battery contacts in the phone. Insert the battery, contacts side first, into the battery compartment followed by the opposite edge of the battery. Insert the bottom edge of the of the battery cover into the rear housing, then push the top edge of the cover down and snap it into place.
