Safety Warnings
All operating instructions should be read before using the RR215. To prevent the risk of electrical shock, do not remove the cover or back. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to a qualified technician. Do not expose to direct sunlight or heat sources such as radiators, stoves, or other heatproducing appliances. This unit should be cleaned only with a damp cloth or with solvents specifically made for cleaning electronic equipment. When moving this unit, repack it in its original carton to reduce the risk of damage in transit. All connections to the RR-215 should be made with the unit�s power cord unplugged. Before doing anything else�make sure the VOLTAGE switch on the rear panel is correctly set to the voltage used in your location. It is shipped preset to 110/120 VAC, which is the proper setting for the USA and Canada.

Controls
POWER SWITCH: When the RR-215�s installation and connections are complete and it is plugged into a source of AC power, throw the POWER switch. RANGE SWITCH: Selects the range of the EQ�s sliders. When the switch is in the out position, the green LED will light indicating the sliders will boost or cut the frequency ±6 dB. With the switch pushed in, the red LED will light indicating the boost or cut will be ±12 dB. BYPASS SWITCH: Pressing this button toggles the EQ between IN and OUT (bypassed). With the bypass switch pushed in, the EQ is in bypass mode, and the yellow LED is lit. LEVEL CONTROL: This control may be used to compensate for any changes in volume caused by the EQ settings. If the red clip LED is lit, lower the level control. EQ SLIDERS: These sliders allow adjustment of either ±6 dB or ±12 dB (depending on the setting of the RANGE switch) at 1/3 octave intervals, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. HI PASS FILTER: Pressing this button engages this filter at 40 Hz. The 40 Hz LED will light. LOW PASS FILTER: Pressing this button engages this filter at 16 kHz. The 16 kHz LED will light. GROUND LIFT SWITCH: This switch (on rear) will disconnect the signal ground from the mains and chassis ground. If the equalizer is the cause of hum or buzz in your system due to a ground loop, move this switch to the �LIFT� position.

Limited Warranty
The RackRider RR-215 is warranted against failures due to defective parts or faulty workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days after delivery to the original owner. During this period, Furman Sound, Inc. will make any necessary repairs without charge for parts or labor. However, shipping charges to the repair facility must be prepaid by the owner. This warranty applies only to the original owner and is not transferable. Also, it does not apply to repairs done other than by the Furman Sound, Inc. repair facility listed below. This warranty may be cancelled by Furman Sound, Inc. at its sole discretion if the unit has been subjected to physical abuse, or has been modified in any way without written authorization from Furman Sound, Inc. Furman�s liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective unit. Furman Sound, Inc. will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of its products. Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Warranty claims should be accompanied by a copy of the original purchase invoice showing the purchase date (if a Warranty Registration Card was mailed in at the time of purchase, this is not necessary). Before returning any equipment for repair, please be sure that it is adequately packed and cushioned against damage in shipment, and that it is insured. We suggest that you save the original packaging and use it to ship the product for servicing. Also, please enclose a note giving your name, address, phone number and a description of the problem. NOTE: All equipment being returned for repair must have a Return Authorization (RA) Number. To get an RA Number, please call the Furman Service Department, (707) 763-1010 ext. 40, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time. Please display your RA Number prominently on the front of the package.
