User manual V60 Thank you for selecting a V60. Your cabinet will provide many years of trouble free service, if the instructions below are followed. INSTALLATION 1. Do not place your cabinet in direct sunlight, or near heat sources. The condenser requires cold air to circulate through the condenser (black radiator in the machine unit on top of the cabinet). This air is sucked in and expelled through the holes in the top of the cabinet. Therefore these air holes at the top must be kept clear at all times. Sides, bottom and back do not require any spacing. The cabinet should be installed on a level surface. If the cabinet is not level, the door will not close properly, and there can occur problems with water leakage. Click the shelve supports into the climbing strips and fit the shelves. After installation leave your cooler to stand for at least 2 hours prior to connection to the mains, to avoid damaging the compressor. FAULT FINDING If there are any problems always check first whether the cabinet is properly plugged in and whether the socket is life (e.g. by plugging in a different electrical appliance).

2. 3. 4.

The temperature in the cabinet is too high (increases), though the setting of the thermostat is not changed. Causes 1. The cabinet has no power 2. The cabinet has been stacked too full with products 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. The door is not closed properly The evaporator has frozen The air grille / condenser at the top is obstructed Faulty thermostat (at condenser or evaporator) Faulty fan motor Faulty compressor Solution 1. Check / repair power supply 2. Distribute products evenly in cabinet and take care that air circulation is not obstructed 3. Clean magnetic strips and/or replace if 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. necessary Remove plug from socket to allow evaporator to defrost Remove the obstruction or clean the condenser after disconnecting the power supply. OPERATION 1. Power supply must be 230 V AC / 50Hz. Low line voltage is often the cause of service complaints, therefore other motors or heavy appliances should not be used on the same circuit with the cabinet. Check to see that the line voltage is 230 V or more with the cabinet running. Always plug into an earthed 2 or socket. If an extension cord is necessary, always use three wire grounding type of wire, size 1.5mm 2. 3. larger, not longer than 6 m. The use of ungrounded cords, or low line voltage can cause damage to the compressor. Turn the power on (two hours after installation) by plugging the plug into the socket and check if the fan motor in the cabinet is running. After a few minutes also the fan motor in the machine unit and the compressor starts running. The lightswitch is located on the top of the cabinet. Your Cabinet is factory set to operate at approximately 3/4ºC. To adjust the temperature, you have to adjust the thermostat, which is located in the machine unit. Remove the plastic panel on top of the thermostat and turn the knob of the thermostat clockwise to increase or counter clockwise to decrease the temperature. Always turn the knob in small increments, it takes some time to notice the effect of the change in temperature. The cabinet has automatic defrost. Due to warm moist air entering the cabinet each time the door is opened, the build up of ice on the evaporator (inside back panel) is inevitable. This ice is automatically removed during the defrost cycles. The defrost water will automatically evaporate in the drip tray of the machine unit.

MAINTENANCE 1. The cabinet should be cleaned using a mild domestic detergent and warm water, never use abrasives or harsh chemicals. Use a sponge or cloth, never use steel wool! 2. Apart from air the condenser (radiator in machine unit) also attracts dust and in order to guarantee optimal performance the condenser should be cleaned regular. Before cleaning the cabinet should be turned off by disconnecting the power supply and the unit be allowed to cool down sufficiently. To reach the condenser the panel on the top of the cabinet should be opened, by undoing the bolds that hold the panel in place. The condenser can be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner or a brush, replace the panel after cleaning. If the condenser is not cleaned regular the cooling capacity will reduce and it might cause damage to the compressor! Also the cabinet can not reach the required temperature any more. 3. It is recommended apart from regular cleaning to have the cabinet annually checked by a service engineer. 4. Do not obstruct the gap between the lowest shelf and the bottom of the cabinet. This will reduce the airflow and cooling capacity. 5. WARNING!!! When work is carried out on the machine unit, always unplug the cabinet. The machine unit contains sharp parts and some of these can reach high temperatures (100°C). Make sure the unit has cooled down sufficiently before starting any work on these. Always replace any removed parts in their proper place. Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified service-engineer. Contact your supplier for further details.
